My daughter and I went on an allocation on arrive. This was the first time we had been abroad and was unsure that this would be safe for 2 females.
We were told by the travel agent not to be concerned as all the hotels in Madeira were good and because this would be a 4 star we would be ok.
When we arrived at this hotel we were both pleasantly surprised. From the reception to our allocated room we could not have had anything better. We had a sea view. And the sunrise was fantastic. The hotel is not 4* but 5*
The swimming pools were clean and warm. The attendant was very helpful and would not let you do anything. He would place your sunbed where you wanted it and would get the towels for you.
We were on B&B but we had a couple of meals at the hotel and was very good. Meals at local resturants were as good and we were looked after by the staff.
We both felt very safe walking from the resturants to the hotel at night, even though there were few lights. This may have changed now.
Getting into Funchal was easy. We mainly caught the local bus. Best viewing is the cable car and the market. Hire a car or take a trip to nuns valley. And dont forget take the toboggan down to Funchal. Brilliant!!!!!
Maderia is a lovely island with beautiful scenery and good weather all year. I have been back 3 times to Funchal but only for the day as we were on cruises.
I would go back to Madeira and Oasis Atlantic at the drop of a hat.

Stayed here last week in May and 1st week in June. A most enjoyable holiday, the standard of the accomodation was second to none. Everywhere in the complex was always immacuate, the staff could never do too much for you.
We were self catering but found that eating the "half board" menu was only about £10 per head, (and this included a glass of wine).
Entertainment was of a good standard, but the shows were a little short.
Facilities in the complex were excellent, the only thing I would say is that if you like the wild side of life this is not for you, if you want to relax o use this as a base for touring the island I recommend this hotel.
