 Oasis Duna: Good But Not Great by Neil Payne |

My girlfriend and I decided to give the Oasis Dunas a try after a recommendation from my brother. First impressions were how large the complex was. Especially when you're trying to find your apartment in the dark with little lighting and a hand written map by the folks at reception. We got there in the end! The rooms were nice with fridge, cooker, toaster etc. provided. The pool area was well maintained and the main road through Corralejo (where most of the eateries/bars are) was a very short walk round the corner.
This is very much a family-orientated complex, which was the only thing that let our holiday down. Relaxing around the pool was quite difficult with the reps running round with loud hailers, beckoning all and sundry to join in the "killer pool", "kiddies water polo", "make your own sangria" etc every 5 minutes.. perfect for families but not for couples just wanting to relax. Night time entertainment was of a Butlins variety. Fortunately, we only got to see the end of each night's entertainment ("Mr. Oasis Dunas 2005" anybody?) but the evening's were rounded off with one of the most annoying kiddy songs you could imagine. Having said that, I was whistling the tune all the way home.
All-in-all a great family hotel with great restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. If Pontins family holidays are your cup of tea then I can recommend this...if you're a couple then maybe this isn't the place for you.

We stayed at Oasis Duna on August 20th 2005 for 2weeks. All I can say is Great place!
The apartments are very clean. There's even a kettle and toaster in the room. Normaly you have to pay for these on s/catering. Food round the pool was great. Didn't try the resturant, so can't say about it.
Kids clubs were very good. Great location. Right opposite the water park, which is new. The town is 200 yrds away. The site is quiet at night.
We would go back here next year, but cant get booked up, so had to book someone else in the same area. Go to the square at the bottom of the town. Great entainment and food. Live music and bands playing.

i visited the oasis dunas in 2003 and thought it was absolutely amazing... i am stayin at the oasis dunas again this year.. infact in a few weeks and i am really excited... i would defo reccommend these appartments to anyone and everyone... thats all i have to say really as all i can say is that your missing out if you dont try it out.... by becky meigh in staffordshire

stayed here from 17th july 2002. The apartments were fine a bit basic but clean enough. we were lucky to get an apartment at the front near the pool but some further back were a little dark. watch out for the chickens and peacocks walking around the apartments. The hotel is in a good location about 5 or 10 minutes away from the bars, shops, and resaurants. I was 15 years old during the visit and my holiday was spoilt because this is more of a family resort and theres not much nightlife. This holiday is ok if you like to sit in at night. The hotel entertainment was suitable for over 60 year olds and one of the staff at the pool bar was very rude. Me and my family would definately not go back here. We ate a poco loco about 5 times, the food is very good here.
