Our check-in at The Oasis Golf Resort was quick and efficient by very helpful receptionists. They immediatly made me and my family feel welcome. They even sorted out the safe key and TV straight away, whereas many other places I have stayed in have asked me to "come back later"
The reception area was bright, well decorated with lovely furniture, and looked very new. There was also a hunger inducing smell coming from the restaurant.
There were 95 steps from the reception area to our two bedroom apartment, so bare this in mind if you have mobility issues. I must say after a week of climbing this amount of steps, my legs ached somewhat. (there were however, ramps by the side of all the steps for pulling along the suitcases)
The apartment was large and airy, with a superb view from the large balcony. We had two bedrooms, one of which was ensuite, a very welcome treat not to share a bathroom with others in my party.
A well equiped kitchette with microwave, huge fridge/freezer and plenty of utensils was perfect for our need of preparing snacks and drinks. You really could cook full meals in this kitchen everyday if you so wished.
The beds were comfortable, and the sofa and furniture was to a high standard too.
We even had a sun roof terrace with another table and chairs and sun loungers on it, and views across the sea.
A truly superb appartment.
The pool area was clean with plenty of sun loungers everywhere. We did however see a couple of cockroaches, but think they were spraying chemicals down the drains which was making the little bugs come out of the drain covers looking rather worse for wear.
We had lunch in the pool side restaurant several times, but felt the choice could have been improved. The food however, was very good, and the staff very pleasant.
There was a well stocked supermarket on site with everything you would need from food, alcohol, toiletries and inflatable swimming pool toys.
Everywhere was a cash-free zone, including the supermarket. A simple swipe of your key card allowed me to get whatever I wanted without the need to carry money on me. My credit card details were left on checking-in. I thought this was an etremely good system.
The location of the Oasis Golf needs addressing as a 10 euro taxi ride is needed to go anywhere. I suppose one could hire a car, or maybe stay in the complex all the time, but as I like to explore, this increased my holiday spending by quite a bit. At least there were always cabs waiting outside the reception.
I didn't get to see any of the entertainment during my stay as I went into the main resort each evening, but I did see the children having loads of fun in the kids club on my way out.
I probably would return to this very clean resort, but would consider the extra costs of taxi's next time.
Overall, a decent, value for money complex that can only be descibed as a pleasure to stay in.
