The Occidental Allegro Playacar is a fantasti hotel. Overall we had one of the best holidays ever! The food is great, the grounds are beautiful and the staff are so friendly! We saw the best entertainment here, the entertainment team are outstanding!
The only negative comment we had to make is that the rooms aren't very nice. They are slightly damp and very dark. However don't let this put you off, as who goes to Mexico to stay in their room all day? There is so much to do and the weather is amazing so we only used the room to sleep and get changed in.
The reception staff are a bit obnoxious, this was the overall view from most of the guests but luckily you only visit reception upon arrival and departure. If you have a problem, speak to your rep rather than reception as they aren't very helpful.
Playa Del Carmen is beautiful. So much more relaxed and easy going than Cancun. So if you want to chill out and enjoy the beauty of Mexico I strongly recommend this resort.
