Absolutely not

For a bargain late break we weren't expecting the Ritz but we weren't expecting this either! The food was absolutely disgusting and we spent the week surviving on chips and salad. I went with my grandma, aunt and sister and we went all inclusive- the drinks however tasted watered down! We also had problems with some very drunken fighting ladies (who stripped off infront of the hotel and ended up gettin arrested eventually!) who unfortunately were on our floor and left the corridor covered in blood! After complaining to the receptionist, nothing was done about it and she was extremely rude, seemed uninterested and totally blanked us when some Spanish guests came with a complaint. The rooms themselves had no space, the wardrobes were like boxes and the two beds in the rooms were rock hard and lumpy- in short there was no room to swing a cat. We had to use the same dirty wet towels all week and I can't remeber the bathroom bin ever being changed.

All three pools were like ice and in a week I think I went in the pool twice. The pool at the back was constantly in the shade and the pool side bar was never open. THE SUNBEDS WERE FILTHY!!!!!

The resort wasn't up for much- there were no clubs; not really the place for two young girls like me and my sister. It was also a struggle trying to find a pub and the few that we did find offered "Wein, Bier and Schnitzel"- not the kind of thing you want if you're English! There was precious little to do and all of our nights were spent in the hotel! Getting into the resort centre itself was a mick take aswell- to get to anywhere you had to walk past a lot of smelly bins, although the hotel wasn't too far from the beach. Even if it is a bargain avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!!!

Our room had 3 single beds with space to walk around any more would have been cramped, the brochure warned extra beds for children if requested would be in the same sized room

Clean towells, room cleaned, beds made and floors mopped daily, very friendly and polite cleaners. Clean and well maintained bathroom

Air conditioning was fantastic but be aware it can be noisey at night and if you open the door it goes off

The range of food was excellent ranging from salads and pastas to spanish paella, fish and plainer food for even the fussiest of eaters. There was always several starters, melon, fruits bread rolls and soups and 4 or 5 desserts. One evening they had a chef cooking crepes in the dining room. I do not understand how any one could not find plenty to eat, they really tried hard to cater for all nationalities. Wine and water could be purchased in the dinning room. the restaurant manager always wore a black jacket and all the staff were clean. There was a different sugar cube sculputer every night of such international subjects as big ben and a windmill, the kitchen staff also carved watermelons into decorative centre peices.

More spanish food would have been nice, don't go all the way sto spain to eat english food!

Lovely large lounge with floral wicker easy chairs nice and cool, quite a walk down to town but a bit of a drag walking back up the hill. Near to shops, beach and restaurants but away from noisy bars.

Olympic: our visit to olympic hotel by Donna Stevens
Posted 23 October 2005 about a visit in September 2005
we have just returned fom the olympic after reading several reviews we were worried as to what we would find. the hotel was very clean as was our room, the food in the restarant was not bad we always managed to find something we liked.we found all the staff to be very helpful and friendly. the bar was normally understaffed however we never had to wait that long.we were all inclusive and found the choice to use other facilities in sister hotels was a excellant idea. we went on a last minute bargain and felt we did get our moneys worth. if you are looking for a cheap deal close to everything i would recomend it.

We have just spent the worst weeks holiday at the Olympic Hotel that we have ever had. My wife and I took or two grandchildren to this place on a late booking.
The room had 4 single beds shoved together with no room to walk around them, if you wanted to get into the "wardrobe" you had to dismantle one of the beds to make room. I spent the entire week sleeping on the balcony so we could just get around the room. We were on the front of the hotel and the noise from coaches and drunks went on all through the night, the "security staff at night made no attempt to ask the drunks who congregated on the reception steps to be quiet. When we asked to be moved we were told that the hotel was full and there was no other rooms available unless we paid 60 Euros to have one cleaned.

The staff of the Hotel were indifferent at best and most of the time were extremly surly and did not want to help anyone with any problems, the Manager conveniently forgot how to speak English when anyone raised any concerns, at other times he was fluent in English when it came to buying thing from him.

The queues at the bar and dining room for drinks usually meant a wait of at least 20 min and the food was inedible with a very poor choce of dishes it was mostly salads and pastas with no descriptions of what they were, on the lat day for lunch there was chhese on toast and boiled ribs of some description that I would not have given to a dog. You had to be very careful when getting a plate as at least 50% of the cups, glasses crockery and cutlery was dirty with food still on them.

We were All Inclusive but were told that you could only get 2 drinks on your Card, this meant that one of the grandchildren had to come to the bar in order to get soft drinks, ice creams for the kids finished at 6 oclock.

It was very noticable that preference was given to Spanish guests at the bar as the bar staff would ignore the queue and go to serve them as soon as they walked up, when I objected to this the bar staff decided that they did not understand what I was saying.

The only plus side t this place is that the room was cleaned every day.

I would advise anyone thinking of going here not to.

Just come back from a weeks holiday at the Olympic hotel. The hotel rooms are cramped if you have children, we had 4 beds in our room. There are a number of pools around the hotel, the main pool they do not let you take inflattables, so bear this in mind.
The rooms are cleaned daily and towels are changed daily.
If going all inclusive they give you a card and is great if you have children, unlimited soft drinks and ice-cream. Some of the bar staff are very grumpy and rude, do not know if it is english guests or all inclusive.
Be prepared to queue for drinks at the bar, sometimes only have one member of staff at the bar serving drinks.
The food is average, a variety of food at lunch and dinner time. The pool side snack bar, if you want food from there you have to pay for it, your all inclusive meals are to be eaten in the hotels restaurant.
The childrens entertainment staff were great, the activities were good, and the childrens disco at night was great.
I think a week was enough though!

Olympic: Do'nt go all inclusive here!! by Gordon Simpson

We have just spent an all inclusive long weekend at this hotel, thank God we hadn't booked a week. The food here is well below average, we ate out after the first day. The 'local spirits' they offer at the bar is like paint stripper, fortunately, if you're willing to pay 1.50 euros you can buy brand names.
In general the hotel is o.k. it's clean and the rooms are reasonably well kept. We won't hurry back though.
