Olympic Lagoon Resort: nice pool, expensive drinks. by Graham Page

hotel not bad, rooms smaller than expected and small balconies, we had room at the front of the hotel overlooking motorway and field (not the pool).

Having said that we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was at night due to double + double glazing.

pool area very good, lots of sun beds so no need to put your towel down at breakfast - although some still did!!

drinks at hotel very expensive, walk out the back and turn right, head for paradise alley, cheap drinks and pleasant staff (not the first restaurant next to super market but the next one further along road). Or take advantage of the all inclusive beverage option at the hotel, for four days min @ £8 cyp per person per day, you only have to drink four pints and then your in profit!

food was standard fare for hotels, so we eat out most nights, find the Limelight if you like a large meal, try the T bones, mixed grill or meze, all massive portions and staff really nice, so good you may need to book and no one trying to get you in with free drinks etc (speaks for itself eh ?).

The hotel is a little out of the resort, it is walkable but when v hot not good, cabs are approx £4 cyp each way. but ask before you get in or its £5 cyp!!

Beach opposite nice, good beach bars, nice to sit in the sun beer in hand and listening to good music, my idea of heaven!

Cyprus is a great place, people are friendly, you will feel safe there. We have been twice now and would return any time.

Olympic Lagoon Resort: Definantly would go back by Sun-Lover

Went to the Olympic Lagoon Resort (was olympic napa) in april 2002 for my parents friends wedding and would definatly go back, the staff were very helpful and always smiling.

The rooms were clean and had a tv, mini bar (expensive) air con and radio. Maids came daily to clean and make the beds etc

The pool area was fantastic by far one of the best have seen and was always clean and tidy, and the kids beach area was also a bonus as had about 5 small children with us.

The night time entertainment was your usual hotel entertainment but was enjoyable all the same, there was games for the children and also for the adults, quiz nights and karaoke.

We stayed Half Board and i couldnt fault the food at all there was a wide selection to choose from and could go back and fill your plate up again. For breakfast they was cereal, toast, english breakfast, fruit, boiled eggs and many more to choose from. The restaurant and bar was spotlessly clean and staff were always friendly and helpful.

I would definatly go back but if your going to ayia napa for a clubbing holiday i wouldnt recommend the olympic lagoon for gangs of lads or lasses as is a good ten mins in taxi to the square and the olympic lagoon seemed to be more for the ones who enjoy a quieter holiday but if your ever to go i must recommend that you order a cyprus kiss from the bar was after the recipe for full 2 weeks while was there but with no joy.

Olympic Lagoon Resort: All Inclusive Drinks Option
07 May 2006 by Daniel Downing
I am visiting olympic lagoon on may 17th 2006 for 2 weeks. Me and my friends have heard that you can pay a per person per day supplement and go all inclusive for a minimum of 4 days. I was just wondering if anyone knew if this was true or not, and roughly how much it is. We would obviously be paying it whilst were there as we are going on a bed and breakfast basis with the travel agents.
