This was our first holiday in Portugal and we were pleased that we chose to stay at the Oriental Aparthotel in Praia Da Rocha
Room was pleasant and better equipped than expected for a Bed and Breakfast basis, staff were pleasant and always helpful.
As for the nearby restaurants we had a range of experiences
La Botella Pizzaria - Excellent Italian food and very good value
Reataurante Baraq - Excellent food and service with a wide English menu if desired
Titanic - Expensive but the service was high class and the food very good, a place to celebrate a bithday or such
Atlantic - Of the same level as Titanic
Almedia (on the Quay below the fort) Average food and very poor service, not cheap either, not one we revisited.
Esplanada Da Fortaleza (the Fort) - A great Cafe on top of the fort good for a sit to drink coffee and enjoy the cooling breeze
