We visited Portugal and stayed at Ouratlantico for five weeks in January this year. Every thing was as written in all the reviews and we really enjoyed it. One problem I must let clients know is, we used the apartment phone one evening, by mistake as it turned out. When we went to pay for the call we were given a bill of 19 euros! that was for a call of 6 mins. Would advise other visitors to buy a phone card for 5 euros with 150 minutes on it. The card is called easycall.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment that had 3 balconies so were able to sunbathe at all times of the day! The room was visited by the maid every day and she emptied bins, made beds, changed towels and cleaned.
What sold Ouratlantico to us was its position, 10 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the strip for restaurants. We recommend Wild and Co, the mixed grill was excellent, don't know how they get their meat so tender!
As we live in the Algarve we were able to visit Albufeira often and check out other apartments before we booked. No problem to park the car and not noisy at all considering Ouratlantico's position.

We 1st visited the Ouratlantico in 1999 the review date only goes back as far as 2001! this was the year it opened and got far more than we thought we would get for the money
The apartments are very spacious and modern The ground floor are studio appartments and the 1 bedroom appartments are above these the facilities include an outside pool sited running through the centre of the complex, the inside pool is small but nice for the morning wake up call! The jaccusi is within the same bulding at the side of the pool and come second to none in this area.
The overall location is superb!
Being only a 3-5 minute walk from stepping onto the beach, down Cardiac hill! a steep walk but the only way onto the beach! you can have a rest at the top or bottom of the hill with plenty of eating and drinking places along the way, There is a great restraunt at the bottom of the hill overlooking the beach that offers snacks to full meals, well worth a visit.
Or you are just a 1-2 minute walk from being on the main attraction road "The Strip" whith superb eating and drinking establishments.
There are taxi stands at both ends of the strip which is about 1km long, with banks and cash machines at the top 1km from the appartments.
Yet Ouratlantico is secluded within it's own grounds, sat just behind the strip seperated by trees so the peace and quite can be had back on the front of any apartment and with all of them having a pool view, what more can you ask?
We always promised to return here and have made good our promise by visiting again this May 2005!
Our friends have since visited here on our recomendation and all have vowed to return!
We are sure the staff will be as polite and friendly as they where in 1999.

We went in April 2003 for our honeymoon and it was FANTASTIC in every way!
The pool was imaculate and the staff were very friendly, they could'nt do enough to help!
The location of the Ouratlantico is EXCELENT as you are two mins away from the main strip and five mins away from the beech!
I would strongly recomend this appartment to anybody as it is great for families and couples young and old! YOU CAN GET LOVELY FOOD FROM THE POOL BAR ALSO!
We are trying to book up for next year but it is so expensive but you will find that any where as it is EURO 2004 FOOTBALL!
So be quick, you dont know what you are missing!!!!!!

hi looking to book a studio apartment in June, I was wondering what the kitchen facilities are like?
Also what are the beds like are they double twin or as I read in a review they were two sofa bed's pushed together...

I was just wondering what size the studios are. I rang an operator to book and i believe we are on the top floor with a studio apartment. I wanted to know is it as spacious as the apartments which have 2 floors or is it one room only with your kitchen/bedroom?
