Panormos: the best of the best by Tony Chester |
| Posted 30 August 2006 about a visit in July 2006 | Overall rating: 9.9 |
We stayed at this hotel and found it one of the best, the rooms were clean the staff were fab and they could not do enough for you. The hotel is away from the center but just a short ride on the dolbus and u are there, night life is fab,The hotel is a fun place to be and you cant find fault, the pool is the biggest in altinkum and the fun and games r great. kids have a great time, ours did.
The turkish nights they put on for you are the best in town and the local drinks flow from 8pm till midnight and they are included in the price.
When you vist this hotel just go to the bar and ask for harcan or ali they will look after your every need, mehmet is on reception and will help all he can. All the staff speak good english, Just 1 more thing these people work very hard for so little pay, so remember to show how gratefull we british are when they make your holiday one of the best you will ever have
Thanks
Sandra & Tony Chester from Preston, Lancs

Panormos: Hotel Panormos = The Best Holiday by E. Wilkinson |
| Posted 20 September 2005 about a visit in July 2004 | Overall rating: 9.0 |
My family and I spent two weeks of August at The Hotel Panormos.
From first impressions, to start with, we weren’t overly keen on the hotel, but we soon found that we were thoroughly enjoying ourselves. - Despite trying to cope with the heat!
We couldn’t adjust to how different the Turkish people are compared to the English. They were all just so friendly, especially the waiters – Batman and Levent and not forgetting the outgoing Bar Manager Jimmy! They all made us feel really welcome.
We found that all of the staff there would bend over backwards to help you and were just so kind natured.
We turned the 15-20minute walks to the town/beach into an enjoyable stroll! We also regularly caught the local ‘Dolmus’ (bus), which was ridiculously cheap.
Overall, I would recommend The Hotel Panormos to people of any age. The food is great, the people are extremely friendly, the pool is one of the biggest in the area, and not forgetting that the hotel bar is open ALL hours!
- I will definitely be returning to the Panormos in the near future.

Panormos: PANORMOS by Gill S |

We went to the Panormos hotel end may/june this year.
It was about a 15-20 minute walk away from the beach and main area of altinkum,so if you dont like a walk this isnt the place for you but having said that there were the regular and frequent dolmus going up and down the road all the time outside the hotel.
I was there the same time as hudz gal and there was a quite a bit of friction about us not eating in the hotel restaurant, like us getting asked by members of staff why we weren't eating there and the police incident , plus a couple of other stories other guests told us, but when its bed and breakfast its just nice to have a change at night and go somewhere different for your evening meal. I think a lot of hotel owners get offended if you dont eat in their restaurants though.
The pool is one of the biggest in Altinkum , the bar staff, breakfast boy and pool staff were friendly enough (could have got married off to mehmet everyday if he'd had his way lol but that just wasnt happening, bit of a ladies man me thinks for no reason in particular lol).
Cant fault the cleaners and the cleanliness of the hotel that was brilliant , and they do fancy things with the sheets on the beds and arrange kiddies toys on them and things. Yeah it was nice place .
