| Paphos Review: | | Written by David Mccarthy on 23 Sep 2004 about a trip in Aug 2004.
| | Paphos - it ain't too bad but the otherside of the island is better, Fig Tree Bay, Nissi Bay and Agia Napa. Paphos has a tiny beach and entry into the sea can be quite rocky and therefore tricky. Plenty of big hotels and the resort is growing. At night the restaurant culture is separate from the young bar/clubing area so the two different holidays makers are catered for quite nicely. You may find youself knee-deep in Greek adonisis at some bars (eg. 'The Robin Hood' ) who I am sure will tell you "You are a beautiful lady" if thats your goal. Live football in most other bars. Cheap, good quality food in some restaurants. Harbour area is well set up and features a small castle plus ancient ruins and roman mosaics. Overall quite English really - in glorious baking sunshine. |
