Paradise Island: Amazing! by Jill T |

I had one of the best holidays of my life here - the hotel is FANTASTIC!!!!!
We (my boyfriend and I) knew it would be reasonable, being in the H10 chain, but I just couldn't believe our luck. We'd had a 30 hour delay on the way (extremely p*d off) but that's another story - and pulling up in the taxi at this hotel made it all worth it. We arrived in the middle of the night, it was beautifully lit up and I though - no WAY is this ours...but it was!
We were given room 216, a fantastic and ENORMOUS room with a full kitchenette (even though we were all inclusive!), living room, table, tv, etc etc...and a balcony overlooking the pool...and another balcony with a sea view looking out to Fuertuventura!!!! I couldn't believe it - two balconies, and easily the nicest surroundings I've ever stayed in.
The pool itself was gorgeous, huge and split into three bits, one of the sections being for children mainly. Plenty of sunloungers, even though there were a lot of Germans and Spanish holidaying here, you didn't have to grab a sunbed at the crack of dawn - we usually just put our towels down when we went for breakfast, but there were always some free anyway.
The pool bar is lovely - beer, soft drinks and tea/coffee are self service, which was perfect and you didn't have to wait to be served or anything. Saying that, the service was brilliant - and I actually couldn't believe the measures, they hold the bottle of alcohol above the cup and let it glug away til it's over halfway full!!! I nearly gagged on my vodka lemonade cos it was all vodka!!! Not complaining though! We went a bit overboard on our first day, after missing a day due to our delay - and it wasn't funny having a hangover at dinner, so just be careful!!!
There were cocktails in machines aswell, Pina Colada (rum based), Paradise (vodka based) and San Francisco, which was non-alcoholic. They were all GORGEOUS - I stuck to them!
Anyway - the best bit....THE FOOD. It was to DIE for!!!! I think I could've eaten there every day for the rest of my life and been happy!!! They had two restaurants - the main one, and also another which served a Chinese buffet for a bit of variety (except on Friday nights apparently) but the main one was so amazing we never tried the Chinese one! Maybe if we'd had two weeks instead of one we would have.
I still can't believe how much I ate - I was having 4 course breakfasts!!! They had everything - fresh fruit, lots of cheeses and ham (foreign people went for that stuff) full english stuff - all freshly cooked and more put out regularly, breads, doughnuts (!) croissants, crepes (and chocolate sauce!) yoghurts, and fresh juice. Lunch and dinner were fairly similar, but were changed every day so that you never get bored, I was really impressed. Last time I stayed in an all inclusive, I struggled because it was a bit bland and I'm a vegetarian, but I have never eaten so much in a week in my life!!!
There were plenty of salads, fresh chips (they were great) all kinds of meat - hamburgers, pork, turkey, steaks...most of this cooked out in the serving area and carved right in front of you - my boyfriend loved it, he said he's never tasted anything like any of it!!! There was a different rice every day, and plenty of plain pasta, with different sauces beside it, so that you could choose your own. This was brilliant for me, as I'm vegetarian, so I was never stuck, because usually one of the sauces were vegetarian, if not both. I also had loads of ppotato wedges, roast potatoes...it was brilliant! There were countless deserts aswell, and 4 different ice creams every day, all absolutely gorgeous. There are two places to get drinks in the restaurant, one at either end so you're never stuck. There is red & white wine, beer, and soft drinks...the wine was actually lovely - think I drank too much!
Anyway - think I have the point across, the food and the place was amazing!!! It's about a 15-20 minute walk to Playa Flamingo, the nearest beach - really easy to find, and absolutely beautiful. I've never seen a beach so pretty!!! White/golden sand and crystal clear water. Then it's another 10 minutes or so to Playa Blanca itself, which is beautiful aswell but has a noisier backdrop, being in the centre of the actual resort. It's a lovely resort aswell, me and my boyfriend didn't want anything too noisy, nor did we want anywhere totally dead, so it was perfect. Loads of nice wee bars - but we barely wanted to leave the hotel cos we had everything we needed there!!!!
If anyone has any questions about this hotel, please don't hesitate to ask!!!!! And if you're thinking about booking - don't hesitate about that either - it's amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hiya , two hours ago i got back off holiday from this hotel. It was fantastic. The actual hotel is brilliant really clean well kept and has fantastic views as there is a viewing roof and it is up in the mountains. The rooms are really nice nor too far from pool maids are fantastic my room was a right state and it was always looking nice when we came home from a days sunbathing.
The weather was fantastic when we was there. There was plenty of sunbeds never had any trouble getting one any time during the day. The bar is also nice and close to the 4 pools that there is plus a whirlpool!!
moving on the food and drink was very good always had to go up for seconds which of course u gotta do when its all inclusive. Lots of variety of salads but beware if u dont like pork you wil struggle lol.
The drinks were good altho not the real thing like vodka and malibu was cheaper version but did the trick especially when the barstaff put in the measures they do its fantastic. I coped to begin with but soon had to go onto soft drinks lol.
Entertainment was ok aswell during the day we had plenty to do there was archery rifle shooting cocktail games shuffle board and darts a bix mixture. All the entertainment people were fantastic katie, alex, marko were our favourites there we had a right laugh with them and they had good english but they speak loads of languages so big hello to you all you was great.
The barstaff and kitchen staff were again fantastic there some really good charachters and loverly people. No matter how hard we tried we couldnt talk them round to giving us drinks after 11 which was a shame. so HELLO TO ANTONIO , JOSE, JESUS AND many others you was wicked . Sposethats bout it just want to thank you all for a great holiday adios amigos!!
