Paraiso Albufeira: Best Hotel ever by Bob Charles |
| NEW Posted 11 October 2008 about a visit in July 2008 | Overall rating: 9.9 |
Well where to start, the rooms were nice and spacious and had a nice view of the poolside area. We are on the top floor. The staff were great but were sometimed a bit grump. The food was great there was a lot of choice and the whole family enjoyed it.
The cleanliness of the hotel was amazing, how could you keep such a big hotel so clean. Although oe night there was blood all over the floor in one of the lifts so we informed the staff and they cleanedit up right away. he facilities were also amazing and the pool was great. The poolside area was cleaned every night so it was very clean.
The location was brilliant rightin the middle of the strip and the old town. We stayed all inclusive so didnt really look at prices but probably reasonable. The entertainment was great different things all day and t night in club glam was the best, it was all based on adults and kids.
The entertainers themselves were full of energy and put so much effort into their performances, a big thankyou to wesly, kazza, kat and phil. I think the people on other websites are looking for somthing to pick at, it must be their job to find things wrong with everything

Paraiso Albufeira: What a Fabulous Holiday!! by Melanie James |
| Posted 20 June 2008 about a visit in June 2006 | Overall rating: 9.7 |
Went to this hotel in 2006, 2005 and my husband went there in 2004 to be in the great atmosphere for the football (apparently the world cup, or some big event). What great holidays we had there. The rooms are the biggest we've ever stayed in in a hotel, great wardrobes, big living room, big bedroom, 2 balcony's, and spotlessly clean. The pool is excellent. We went self catering which was great, as there was a supermarket just up the road, selling everything, and at cheap prices. The hotel staff were lovely, the kids club was fab, my children were 7 and 2 at the time. My daughter Abigail who was 7 at the time, got chickenpox the 2nd day we arrived, which stopped her goint in the kids club, she so much wanted to go in. There's a chinese restaurant attached to the hotel, which was lovely. KFC and McDonalds very near if you wish to eat there. Pool side snack bar sells everything you need for a long stay around by the pool. Town centre is just a short walk away, which got lovely bars and restaurants. The people of Portugal are great, and very friendly. The Old Town of Albufera was about 15mins walk away, but well worth a visit and a nice walk to it. We used to walk there very often and get a taxi back, as the children would get tired, and it only cost 3euros 80c, which was very cheap. The hotel was absolutely great, and would deffinately go again, maybe August 2008.

Paraiso Albufeira: paraiso de albufeira by Lezlee |

Returned from the Paraiso 11/7/02 had a great time, good area brilliant hotel, reception staff very good and friendly.Pool area is excellent and very clean.Although theres too many greedy people reserving sunbeds!!!Our room(452) faced the road which was not noisey at all.We found it to be a jaunt to the beaches(which were excellent) so we caught taxis which were always 4 euros this seemed the standard fare. The restaurants we visited were on the strip the best of these being O'Poeta (brill steaks and swordfish). The Jing Du chinese restaurant, the best chinese food we'd ever had and the Ancora bar and restaurant.Out of the hotel to the left is the modelo shopping centre were theres a pizza hut, further up the road there is McDonalds and K.F.C.The weather whilst there was extremely hot (too hot some days)but you need to take something warm for the night time as it did go cool.
We went in the bar most nights the entertainment was varied, bingo, singers, pianist(Juanito)karaoke, and an extremely irritating photographer with a funny walk!!!!
We were glad we went self catering as there were always queues for the all inclusive guests, the bar prices were expensive 5 euros for a vodka and mixer!!!3 euros for a beer.
We went on a trip to zoomarine which was absolutley brilliant well worth the money(58.40) euros we booked at the Modelo shopping centre which was cheaper than booking with the reps.
All in all we had a great holiday and we would deffinately go back.Well we did go back!!,just returned, stayed from 2/10/03 to 16/10/03 still the best hotel weve ever stayed in,we had a pool/sea view this time room 419,which was better than last time. The staff were mostly still the same a few even remembered us!! Juanito the pianist was still there, but the photographer with the funny walk had sadly gone!!The acts in the bar at night were ok,the best act was on on saturday, his name was Billy Proud&he took off Michael Jackson brilliantly everybody loved him.We went to Zoomarine again as we enjoyed it so much last time. The weather whilst we were there was hot mid to high 80's,it rained twice, but late at night,by morning you would never have known. So all in all another wicked hol at Paraiso still highly recommended, would go back again anyday and probably will.My kids Zoe & Brad, were upset to be leaving, they made some great mates(Hi Leanne,George&Billy.xxx),a brill place for all the family...

Paraiso Albufeira: Paraiso De Albufeira by J Pickering |

Came back from the Paraiso on 19/07/03 and had a really great holiday. The kids aged 9 and 3 had loads to do and especially loved the pool and play area. We were self catering so cannot really comment about the food, but heard from others that it wasn't that good so I am glad we went self-catering. Hotel is in a good area, 15mins walk to 'The Strip' and 20mins walk to 'The Old Town' in other direction, both have plenty of bars and restaurants but we found The Old Town a little more expensive. The hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We found the rooms very large and were very clean and modern. We would definately return back here. Albefeira itself is fantastic.
