Got a dirt cheap deal from Budget Holidays dot com so were fully aware that the location was a reflection of the price we paid. The hotel was spotless, the accommodation spacious and the staff all friendly and helpful. Our apartment was at the far end of the block and could imagine the nightly 'entertainment' might have been a bit of a pain if we had been nearer, particularly the hotel rooms, the speakers faced them!
The Park Side is a fair old stroll out of Side town itself. You can walk there but you do have to walk past the towns rubbish tip - a bit pongy!
There are a limited number of restauraunts in the area but we found that if you walked up towards the main road into town there was a really good restauraunt by the Aquaduct.
None of this was a problem for us, we were a party of 5 and taxis were cheap and readily available so we just hopped in one whenever we couldn't be bothered to walk!
Our top spot was the Truva Beach Restauraunt, if you take a taxi to the 'main' PTT to change up your money, just head down towards the beach. Great food, great company and free sunbeds!
This was our second trip to Side and still love it. We were even given tickets to go to see the Ankara State Ballet in the Ampitheatre - it was amazing.
Restoration work is still ongoing but we could see a huge improvement in the 4 years since our previous visit.
Will definately be back - not necessarily to the Park Side although there was nothing wrong with it.
