This place is the absolute pits. We booked what was advertised on the internet by Lastminute as a "5 Star self catering" holiday to Tenerife and were appalled by the standards of everything here. The cooker was sordid, the sofa bed broken, sheets and towels grubby and stained, curtains hanging off the tracksand the hotel is directly under the flight path, so take any claims that you can enjoy 'peace and quiet' with a pinch of salt.
The Reception Manager - unbelievably rude and obnoxious man by the name of Santiago Bernal Gracias -also subjected us to a tirade of very aggressive verbal abuse when we dare to ask for a complaint form on the last day of our stay here. This was also witnessed by two other families who just couldn't believe what they were hearing.
Together with two other families, we are now pursuing a Group Legal action against the accommodation provider - Accommodation2U - who I wouldn't recommend anyone to use either. They abdicated all responsibility for us while we were there and it's taken them 3 months to reply to our first letter of complaint.
When confirming our booking with them via phone, this company assured us that the Royal Park Albatros Club was 5 star and included 'luxuries' like air conditioning, TV, DVDs and CDs in the apartments. Well, they certainly didn't have them in the apartment we were put in - there wasn't even a fan and as we were travelling with two children, the heat was unbearable.
Having taken advice from Brenda Wall at Holiday Travel Watch) Lastminute have been reported to Trading Standards and The Advertising Standards Authority for misrepresentation.
If I can condense the photos, I will attach them here as a warning to anyone else thinking of going to the Royal Park Albatros. PLEASE DON'T!
