Phi Phi restaurants | | | Jasmin Restaurant is on the beach at Laem Tong Bay. Located in front of the gypsy village inbetween Holiday Inn and Erewan Palms. Only around ten tables roughly nailed to gether pieces of driftwood, but the location is to die for and every meal is freshly cooked. Fresh fish, usually what has been caught that day. An unforgetable dining experience!! |
Phi Phi day trips | | Bamboo Island is easily reached from anywhere on the main island...Phi Phi Don. Here you will find fabulous snorkeling, wonderful little sandy coves and plenty of shaded areas to have a packed lunch.
This little island has been given National Park status so there is a fee of 200baht. |
Phi Phi History and Culture | | The Phi Phi islands are located about 48 Km southeast from Phuket, 42 km south from Krabi Town and 40 km from Ao Nang Beach. They can be reached in between 1 1/2 to 3 hours depending on the type of boat you choose. Boats leave from Phuket, Ao Nang and the Chao Far Pier in Krabi Town on a daily basis.
The rugged Phi Phi Islands are characterized by steep, lightly vegetated cliffs rising vertically from the seabed and hidden bays concealing petite, pristine beaches and calm clear waters.
On offer is scuba diving, game fishing excursions and day trips including several opportunities for snorkeling and sea kayaking around the other islands such as Ko Mai Pai (Bamboo island).
This island lies about a half hour from Phi Phi Don by boat and is touted by locals as one of the most beautiful, unspoiled and uninhabited islands in the area.
You will also have the opportunity to headout to Maya Bay on Phi Phi Ley. It was here that the Hollywood blockbuster movie 'The Beach' was filmed. Overall, The Phi Phi island group is favored by yachtsmen and scuba divers who can discover and savor peaceful anchorage, tranquility and privacy. |
