Patong Beach is an excellent resort. Busy but good. Lots to do. Visit James Bond Island, it is an excellent trip. Also Simons Cabaret for a good laugh. The elephant trekking is a bit hary, but good. Karon Beach is a lot less crowded, in fact it is very quiet compared with Patong. The beaches at Karon and Patong are excellent.
