| Playa Levante Travel Guide: I thought Benidorm was not for me, I was totally wrong
| | Written by Elaine Thomas on 01 Jun 2006 about a trip in May 2006. Trip was for a couple on holiday. Elaine Thomas would definitely visit again.
| Playa Levante restaurants | | | We had a choice of so many bars and restaurants and at prices you couldn't believe. We found a smashing little chinese restaurant opposite Churchill's bar - which is a good Karaoki bar for the youngsters but we prefered to drink on the "Yellow Brick Road" in a lovely little music bar called the Bourbon Bar which had a warm welcome for all ages, clean and tidy with brilliants snacks, good quiz nights and a bit of music. The owners were a delight. |
Playa Levante History and Culture | | I am not a history buff but would like to tell you of my experience of Benidorm. I was always under the impression that it was a bit tacky - how wrong can one be. Like any other resort it has it's "young side" but I am in my 50's and like a good time so I enjoyed watching the kids enjoy themselves. I myself preferred to walk along the prom and enjoy the ambience of the people.
We stayed in the Rincorn area Playa Rosa apartments which we thought was a bit too far out of town but they were clean but not much going on. I will definitley return to Benidorm and the Bourbon Bar very soon. |
