Playa Limones: Absolutely lovely! by Jo Cole |
| Posted 20 September 2005 about a visit in August 2005 | Overall rating: 8.3 |
I have just come back from my holiday in Lanzarote and we stayed in Playa Limones. I thought it was very nice indeed. Very pleasant surroundings, 3 different pools (varying depths) and the Bungalows were spot on. The maid service was very good and the receptionist 'Nacho' was really friendly and helpful. The resort of Playa Blanca was ideal for a 'get away from it all' type of holiday. Nobody trying to sell you timeshares etc.. so it was relaxing and peaceful. The bars and restaraunts were ok and the beach was gorgeous. All only a 2 minute walk. Amazing landscapes. Also, the ferry to Feuterventura is only a 15 min walk too.
If I went back to Lanzarote I would definately stay there again!!
Also, just realised we left our camera film in the safe in our bugalow. Telephoned the receptionist direct - Nacho and he has kindly offered to post it to me in England. Excellent service!
Very good :-)

PS. Quite funny realising that limones is Lemons and my BF name is Nigel Lemon - hilarious!

Playa Limones: Playa Limones Bungalows by Mark J |
| Posted 04 March 2004 | Overall rating: 8.0 |
I stayed here in February 2004 - It's really, really nice!
The Bungalows were ideal for us: reasonably sized, clean, well presented with adequate if limited cooking facilities. Ours overlooked the pool area... and most of the bunglaws seemed to get the sun all day long.
This area of Playa Blanca was a good 20 minute walk (along the beach side walk - very nice!) from the main part of the resort so if you fancy bars and nights out, this may not be the place for you. There are several restaurants close to the bungalows.... We really liked "La Bambola" for Italian style food, some of the others I was less happy with.... El Durro which took an eternity to serve and the food wasn't particularly good & "Beach Club" wanted to get you in and out in a flash and served only frozen mass-market deserts!
Overall we had a great time here.... and if I go back to Lanzarotte, I'd be happy to stay here again.
