Playa de Las Americas Review: Playa De Las Americas

Written by Gary Daish on 26 Aug 2003 about a trip in Sep 2001.

the whole place does need a good splash of paint as its obviously been neglected over the years, but its still great for a holiday but having been there on several ocassions it does seem more popular "off season" especially for families on school the holiday breaks such as half tem etc this of course being due to good weather most the year round.

most families stay in the area of Playa which is surrounded by popular family hotels such as the Conquistador, the Bitacora, the Las Palmaries & the Tenerife Princess. there are also more upmarket hotels near the casino such as the Anthony & the Cleopatra

normally the youngsters head for the world famous Veronicas but most families seem to find great entertainment in an area called The Patch which includes good family bars such as The Full Monty, Brewers Droop, & The Drunken Duck ........ theres also a good "live" sex show in Apples nightclub (entrance 10euros & 1 free drink ... i think !!!!!!!!!!!!!! )

The Patch is situated between the Conquistador & the Las Palmeries but theres also a good strip of pubs bars & restaurants including The Soul Suite just south of the Hotel Volcano next to the Tenerife Princess & opposite the Bitacora

been here 8 times since 1998
