Playa de Las Americas shopping

We went to the local market in Torviscas on Saturday by taxi (about £10) and got some great deals. The shops in the resort are also really good.

Playa de Las Americas nightlife

Be aware in some bars you must pay for 2 drinks each which means you have to stay for your second!
Linekers was rather rowdy and full of young people getting drunk, if this is what you want then come here. Leonardo’s was a fun bar with entertainment and fantastic staff. We also went into California Bar near the hotel for a quiet night. China White (I think that’s what it was called) did some great drinks offers; it’s a Bar/Club.

Playa de Las Americas restaurants

We recommend La Boca a British restaurant, Linaries 4 were you can have a 3 course meal for €7.51, Linaries 3 isn’t as good as 4, Little Italy serves Italian food (incase you couldn’t guess) which was nice but expensive, La Karina has gorgeous homemade food but this was also quiet expensive, Daniels Café (left at the roundabout) we went for a drink and it seemed like a nice place to eat but we never made it back, our friends liked Coconut Jo’s this is a right turn out of the hotel, then turn right at the traffic lights and carry on walking for about 5 minutes. California Bar also did food and a great Sunday Dinner.
We also liked the Chinese all you can eat places.

Playa de Las Americas attractions

We took a walk to Los Cristianos for the day, it was a really quiet and relaxed resort.

Playa de Las Americas day trips

We highly reccommed Loro Parque for a day trip we all had a great day out and it was beautiful.

Playa de Las Americas History and Culture

Playa de las Americas is a lively resort. It has rocky and pebbled beaches. There are planty of shops, restaurants and bars.

Getting to Playa de Las Americas

We flew to the Southern Airport from Humberside and the transfer was by coach and took less than an hour.

Getting around Playa de Las Americas

We got around by walking or taxi as they are cheap enough.

Great holiday but please read
Threre were 4 of us and we stayed self catering. The hotel Columbus was in an ideal part of the resort. It’s on a road full of restaurants. There’s only a short walk (right at the roundabout) to...
