| Playa del Ingles Travel Guide: Regular Novemner visitor each year
| | Written by Kevin Page on 29 Sep 2007 about a trip in Nov 2006. Trip was for a single traveller on holiday. Kevin Page would definitely visit again.
| Playa del Ingles shopping | | Maspalomas is a more upmarket place than Playa, Maspalomas has lovely shops and Restuarnts on the sea front, i dont think much action at night other than hotels. good access to the beach. the sea, i would say is not the best as the currents are very very strong and the breakers can be huge. police and beach patrols cover the beach and last time i was there no one was allowed in the sea for several days as too dangerous.
Playa is a blackpool, or maybe that is being a bit too hard. its a Gay and Lesbian hang out, you will see sights that you will have never seen before. if you are offended easy by looks, stay away from the Yumbo centre at night. To get to the sea at Playa is a killer, especially if you have kids, if so, your best bet is to get the free bus to the "Start " of the beach ( not the light house end ) where you can walk on easily, plus there are cafs/bars/ Mc Donalds etc |
Playa del Ingles nightlife | | | Yumbo and Cita shopping centres are the main ones, i have been many times. i did here a story about prostitutes ripping off guys in side alleys, but in all my time there i have not had a problem. Dress Down, take ojf the jewlery carry money only what you think you need for the evening, plus a little back up. |
Playa del Ingles restaurants | | | Loads to choose from. |
Playa del Ingles attractions | | | The Dunes are amazing and wonderfull, you can find peace and quiet - no football - no radios - and not a lot of people unless you go to the waters edge. just the wind with views of the sea on one side from Maspalomas to the end of Playa, your standing on the beautifull dunes, and on the other side the Fabulous views of the Mountains, the sea / the dunes/ the mountains alone "Just Brill" they turn me on every time. |
Playa del Ingles events | | | Pay a a visit to Las Palmas by public bus, easy and cheap, the bus stops in a bus station so you will know when to get of, walk out on to the street, grab a taxi, the Old town is pretty, then carry on the the main Las Palmas ( get your hotel to write down in spanish the" ( main bus terminal for Playa Del Inglis ) for the taxi back to the main bus station, consider an over night stay ! |
Playa del Ingles day trips | | | Walk in the mountains, NOT ALONE I think, though i may do it, foolish but i want to be in those mountais again "Beautifull " early start is required. |
Playa del Ingles History and Culture | | | Musium near viewing platform ( AND ACCESS TO THE DUNES ), use walk way to get to it under Big White Riu Hotel, be brave its a tarmac road to the sea for all to use. |
Getting to Playa del Ingles | | | Plane |
Getting around Playa del Ingles | | You Tell Me Please, I am alone and want to get around ? |
When to visit Playa del Ingles | | I dont know, I always go in November, its Hot, but you may get a rainy day or two |
