We stayed here in September 2003. Unfortunately, although we loved the island, we were disappointed with the hotel. It was in a pleasant and peaceful location, although probably about half-a-mile walk to the main road. We thought the interior was rather "tired" and could do with complete refurbishment. The radio did not work in our room and the balcony was poor - it was overlooked by the neighbours and sadly did not get any sunshine after the early morning. The courtesy bus was fine, but only went into town about twice a day, usually around 9.00am and 6.00pm, both of which were too early for us. We complained about the noise from the bar, which on a couple of occasions went on until nearly 3.00am with loud music and noisy guests. Several other people were having a moan about this next morning at breakfast - one lady said if she had wanted that they would have booked a holiday in Ibiza. There was also what sounded like a noisy pump some nights, which woke us. On the plus side, the breakfasts were excellent, with everything from cereal and fresh fruit to full English breakfasts, toast, and cake, served in plasant surroundings on a roof garden. We will definitely go back to Skiathos, but will find other accommodation next time. Previous Greek holidays have been in self-catering accommodation and this hotel provided little more, and in some aspects, even less.
