Polonia. Typical post-Russian hotel in great location 7 mins walk from railway station and 15 from town centre. Clean quiet rooms, basic but reasonable. Breakfast included. Friendly and helpful staff.
Wroclaw; interesting and historic town/small city. Used to be 9th largest city in Germany until 1945 when the Russians arrived. Lovely opera house and centre, busy and intimate atmosphere, great Euro location, 80-odd miles from both Germany,(West)and Czechoslovakia (South). Has undergone a huge overhaul since entering Europe.
