| I first visited this resort three years ago, and i have just arrived back from my fifth holiday there! (july2003). The resort is wonderfull surounded by luxuary four star hotels, the beaches are great with many inexpensive watersports. The marina is beautifull, and there are boat trips to suit everyone. The Tunisian people are lovely, very sociable and very kind, and the service in the hotels, bars and restaurants is excellent.
Port EL KANTAOUI is a purpose built resort that has retained its charm and the people who visit seem to respect this. It is very clean and very well kept. As this is a Muslim country drinking is low key outside of the hotels, but you can still find a few bars ,the GOLF BRAU being one of the best.
If you are traveling to Tunisia for the first time i think this would be the best resort to try, if you then want a tast of real Tunisia take a TukTuk into sousse or a taxie ride into the hill top villages of Kala, all very close by and sample real Tunisian culture. |
