Premier West: not a good hotel by Ann Way |
| Posted 12 April 2008 about a visit in October 2006 | Overall rating: 2.6 |
premire West Hotel use to be a great place to stay with a nice restaurant and disco, we went back there in Oct 2006 and found it under new owners the place was dirty with hole in the walls bannister was broken, the cocktail lounge had gone the restaurant was turned into bedrooms, the staff did not speck English the breakfast was no longer the English Breakfast but just toast and coffee, all the nice furniture in the bedrooms had been replaced by awful furniture,I have known this hotel since the forties I grew up in hammersmith and moving too Canada I stayed in that hotel when I went home, but never again unless it is cleaned up and put back the way it use to be.we paid 80pound per night and had stayed in beatiful hotels for 26 pound per night in the west country, the owners need a hotel inspector to go into the Premire West and show them how it should be done, there was no dining room to speak of and no service what so ever, like it is adverized in the other web sites of this hotel

Premier West: Basic but ok. by Emma Hughes |
| Posted 30 April 2006 about a visit in April 2006 | Overall rating: 4.7 |
5 mins walk from Hammersmith Tube station, within Zone 2 for Tube fares. Hotel staff friendly & helpful.
Facilities are very basic but fairly clean - en suite, tv. Minimalistic approach to room furniture, but basics are there. Attention to detail lacking a little ie: poorly finished off lamianate flooring, net curtains tacked up in the middle, cheap cupboard type handle on bathroom door, toilet roll holder in awkward place which necessitated an uncomfortable sitting position on the loo. Beds very low down, almost as low as if sleeping on a mattress on the floor.
We stayed B&B. Choice limited, continental breakfast only comprising of: toast, choice of several cereals, and several pieces of bread & cheese that looked passed their best. The usual tea & coffee available.
Rooms on front of hotel look out onto a very busy main road, which is noisy - cars honking, Tube rattling passed, especially during rush hour which starts at around 6.30am.
The hotel is located very close to shops & bars, these are 2 mins walk away so good in this respect.
