| We went to Protaras in September 2000 and were very disappointed as what was described as 'quiet, peaceful and relaxing' turned out to be one of the noisiest places we have ever stayed! All the bars in the main road seemed to be trying to outdo each other as to who could make the most noise. And if you don't want to spend your holiday seeing English football matches on Sky - forget it! To be fair, the beaches were good, the people were nice, and so was the food, even though the restaurants were all a bit samey, with the emphasis on 'English' type meals rather than Greek cuisine
We were looking forward to this as our first visit to Cyprus, and while we may return to Cyprus, we won't be back in Protaras........ |
