we have been coming here for 7 years ,the rooms are very clean and there is a very good maid service,the rececption staff are great they are very pleasant and friendly so is the bar staff and the manager there are never to busy to speakwe have 2 boys kye7 & jack5 and they get on really well with the staff its in a great location for the beach ,shops,bars & resturants there are lots to do on the beach with the banana boat and the water sports . the aparthotel food is fantastic and value for money . we would reccommend this aparthotel for all ages as there is something for everyone,we have older children who have come with their families and have had a great holiday.

we have been coming here once or twice per year for the last ten years, my mum and dad come here every year with there two younger children, the rooms are fantastic with all you need for a good holiday there is lots of space and is very very clean, the staff are very helpful no problem is ever to big, the hotel has a very good bar and the food is great, there are shows on most nights in the bar area the pool is large and clean with a smaller childs pool, the pool area is very nice looking with plants and palm trees all round, i really dont think you could get better than this!!

The room was well equipped with facilities for preparing light meals. All rooms have a balcony overlooking the outdoor pool. The indoor pool is only open low season, luckily the weather was absolutely wonderful and the outdoor pool was quiet. The pool does get very deep and is best if you are a good swimmer - the children's area of the pool is separate. The hotel does have a kids club but it wasn't very well advertised - probably because we never went through reception again after finding we could get directly down the steps from our room to the pool area. There are numberous spa supermarkets in the resort and you can hire bikes at very good value. The restuarants are good value too, there is a lot of choice and it is worth going down towards S'Illot as the seafront restuarants such as Cala Moreya would take some beating.
We did not book any trips through the holiday reps as there are plenty of outlets in Sa Coma to book through. We particularly enjoyed the trip to Marineland, but you could also go to the waterparks, markets or a combination of boat/train/coach tour. The hotel is very close to the beach and slightly out of the town centre. There are further facilities at the other Protur Hotels in Sa Coma such as the Paradis Park which is a brilliant park for children and is free!
We had one problem at Palmeras Playa when some money went missing from my sister's safety deposit box. I actually saw someone dressed in overalls leaving her room and assumed he was maintenance, by the time we realised what had happened it was too late. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful, they did contact the police on our behalf, but we would have needed to go into Cala Millor to officially report the matter - taking up half a day of our one week holiday!
I would go back to Palmeras Playa without hesitation, however, this year we have decided to try another Protur Hotel in Sa Coma - the Safari aparthotel which we found a cheaper deal on

Stayed here in July 1999. The entertainment was fabalous - i dont think we left the hotel one night for the whole 2 weeks. The children reps were fantastic too. Would definatley recommend this hotel for a family holiday with young children.
Does anyone know if Mandy & Eric are still producing the shows/cabereits?

Quite simply the best family holiday evr for me and my wife and 2 daughters. Everything was superb - the quality of the establishment - apartments always clean, staff welcoming, facilities all you could want. This was a Thimsons Superfamily holiday and their represetantives were first class - worth paying that extra for. The children adored the kids clubs. On top of that the hotel owner Protur provided entertainment for all the family too - all ran in collaberation and conjusntion with Thimsons - so brilliant all round..... SO Mr Thomson why is this not a Superfamily hotel next year - surely the other site in Sa Coma is not as good as this - send us a free holiday to test and we'll tell you the answer !!
