Trip was for a couple on holiday. Steve Bould would definitely visit again.
| Puetro Rico is set in a valley with 2 high hills either side the Harbour, Marina and main commerical centre. Do not let this put you off has the best thing about puerto Rico is that if you want a quiet holiday you can have, if you want to spend all night dancing or drinking you can do that as well if you want to mix both it is not a problem.
The worst part is if you do find it hard either to walk up steps or even the hills then you may have a problem. The Taxi service is probably the best I have ever come across and I have travel all over the world, but this cannot help you if you have accomodation that has a lift but you may need to climb stairs to get to or from it.
Check this out when you book.
The commercial centre is the main centre and hasmost of the shops bars and restuarants however the europe centre has some good ones as well depending on what you want.
Be careful on the drink prices, as a lager can range from 1 euro to nearly 4 euros or 70p to £3. it also does not mean the more you pay the better the beer as you will quickly find out.
If it is your first time beware of buying from the shops as you can get ripped off, if you do not work out excatly what you are buying and then work out the exchange rate. I got caught out just buying 200 ciggarettes and I have been to Puerto Rico 6 or 7 times. Relax and shop apound do not jump in just because they say it is a good price.
If you like entertainment see your rep and ask about GARBO'S it is abrill night out which is like a west end show. well worth the money. This is in playa del ingeles.
The food is very cheap and good quality check out borasos in the europe centre although it is pricey, treat yourself one night.
The buses will take you just about anywhere and you can get a timetable from the staff at the main bus station. this can be very helpful. The smaller green buses are normally the local buses which will take from the europe centre to the main commercial centre. time are on the bus stops but can be 5 to 10 mins out, so be patient.
