| Qawra Travel Guide: Qawra Malta
| | Written by Julie Gilbert on 08 Apr 2008 about a trip in Jul 2006. Trip was for a couple on holiday. Julie Gilbert would definitely visit again.
| Qawra shopping | 7.0 | | The shopping in Malta although sometimes a little touristy is really quite good, plenty of gift shops and one really nice shoe shop if just a little expensive, you can find some nice things though like tablecloths, of which there is plenty of choice and jewellery shops shopping is quite good at night the lights give it more atmosphere and makes it more fun |
Qawra nightlife | | | The nightlife in Qawra is not full of nightclubs and there is no danger at night from rowdy behaviour, pickpockets etc, as two 50 something ladies we have always found it more than safe to walk around even alone. I dont think Qawra would know what a drug dealer was, there are nice pubs and they are more than safe to be in The Two Cherries off Tamar Street is on a back road but the owner is more than hospitable to any customer. The Welcome Inn is also on this road, its ok if you like Quiz nights and chipolatas. The one over the road is great too, me and my friend went one night and two other ladies had started a Conga going well fun. |
Qawra restaurants | | | The best restaurants are the Italian one which is close to the Grand Hotel and also Seashells fish and chip shop where you get the biggest portions of the best fish and chips imaginable (better than Britain) try fishballs Yum. |
