My family and I (4 people in total) had the pleasure of staying here in Sept 2007.
The apartment was pretty new, bright and clean, with comfortable sofas and a lovely comfy double bed.
There was ample storage, and a well presented bathroom with jacuzzi bath and overhead shower.
The kitchen was furnished with all new and modern Zanussi appliances, including full sized fridge freezer and washing machine. Excellent!
A decent sized, well furnished balcony meant we could enjoy our morning cuppa's and nightcaps there in comfort.
(We ate breakfast across the road in Eddys Bar)
The private wimming pool (access only available with pool card ) is beautiful, but depending on what block you are in depends on the distance you are from it.
The pool bar, run by really friendly, cheery staff, serves reasonably priced delicious snacks.
(It's worth noting that this is the ONLY bar in the complex, but it doesn't matter because there's loads - literally on your doorstep.)
We were approx 3 mins walk from the pool,which was fine until you realised you'd forgotten something in the apartment.
But then again - that's another reason we have kids isn't it? (Only joking!!!)
There's a large, well kept lawned area which is an ideal spot for little kiddies to play, and quite a lot of trees which provide shade should you require it.
From the pool you can get to the beautiful beach - although it's down MANY steps.
To get to the resort could not be easier! The lovely resort of Santa Eulalia is as you come out of your door - yet you get no noise from the area.
It's not a rowdy resort anyway.
There's lots of lovely bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity, and a large supermarket just past Oura Praia Hotel's reception, which is 2 mins walk from the Quinta Pedra Dos Bicos.
A 10 minute walk takes you to the bottom of the Strip, and if you like walking, it would take about 20-30 mins to walk to the Old Town, or 5 minutes and €5 in a cab - which is the option we chose!
There's also local transport just outside, and taxi's are going regularly, so you can just flag one down.
One tip I would give anyone who is interested in staying in these apartments, don't just book through travel companies/operators.
Many of these apartments are privately owned - the one we stay in is - and as you will know, with a privately owned apartment, you get lots of extra's - because after all, it's someone's home from home.
So give the sites owners direct, holiday rentals, holiday lets etc a look too.
You could be pleasantly surprised by the prices.

The apartments were great, we had apartment number 14C which slept 8 people. It was newly refurbished and very spacious. One criticsim i would have was there were not enough mirrors! Difficult getting ready when you are sharing with 7 other girls!!, and the towels are changed often enough. Could also do with more hooks or an airer to dry towels and clothes etc. The location was fantastic 10 minute walk from the "strip" and only a stones throw from the beatuiful beach. The snack bar and pool area were ideal and all the staff were very friendly. Would definately go back again and recommend it to friends and family.
