A brilliant hotel but in a dreadful place. The hotel was the only thing which made our stay in Malta bearable - if the hotel hadn't been so good, we`d have been on the first plane home.
The main tip I can give is to stay half board. There`s nowhere much to go for food in the evenings, and the evening dinner buffet is fantastic - everything you could possibly want.
The hotel staff were more than helpful. In fact I left a dress hanging in the wardrobe, and on e-mailing hotel on arrival home, they went and found it still hanging up, and posted it to me and I received it 2 days later.
We had asked for a quiet room and the first room we were given was quiet, but looked over the neighbouring hotel`s car park and refridgeration plant. Hotel were very helpful and moved us as soon as another room became available, and we were able to look at it first to see if we preferred it.
The only disappointing thing about the hotel I`d say were the pools. Whilst we were there, there was a party of Swedish conference delegates staying, and from mid afternoon, they monopolised one pool, and just stood in the pool drinking beer. Not the hotel`s fault, but the hotel could have done something about it. The other pool further away from the hotel was ok but a bit small.
If you really have to go on holiday to Malta (the worst place I have ever been on holiday to), this hotel would take some beating, a pity that St Julians is such a hell hole.
