This hotel is ideally located a minute's walk from the beach and its promenade. It has everything you need for a good holiday and, if you are going there with a family, the entertainment programme is nicely done and not at all holiday camp like. There were plenty of things organised for the whole family and for adults during the evening and these were well attended.

The public areas are numerous and well maintained. You can either get in among the action or lose yourself in one of the quiet areas. The bedroom was clean and the furniture in good condition.

There is an indoor swimming pool should the weather prevent you from using the outside one. The dining room was nicely laid out and the meals were excellent with plenty of choice.

The hotel has really lovely gardens around it and there is a lot of room for parking if you've hired a car for the holiday. If you haven't got a hire car then the main bus stop is just a couple of minutes away. The hotel is right in the centre of the bay area and is totally on the flat. It's great for people with kiddies in pushchairs or those with walking difficulties.

The bay itself is really lovely, gently shelving and sandy. There are all the comforts you would expect from a good beach. There are sunbeds, parasols, pedalo boats etc. Further around the bay is the embarkation point for several boat trips and these go to a variety of destinations. There is a nice children's play area on the sand at the far end of the sandy crescent and close to that is a lovely area with tall trees and benches. It's a welcome spot to cool down in on a hot afternoon. Hundreds of small, bright green birds nest in these trees and they look like very large budgies.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone (and frequently have). The staff are very friendly and helpful and the facilities on offer are kept well. The only mishap we had was that we got stuck in one of the lifts for a couple of minutes when there was a short power cut but they were quick to react and had us out in no time.

our view of the pool

sunset SANTA PONSA style

We have just come back home from this hotel I couldn'tt wait to get on here to tell everyone about it. The hotel is fabulous from where it is situated, just 2 mins walk to the lovely beach, 5 mins walk to the pubs and clubs its called the Irish quarter its a got a really friendly atmosphere. There is a Spanish quarter about 20 mins walk away were their is entertainment on every nite for free, kids hour first then tribute bands, like the Beatles, Abba, Robbie Williams etc. The hotel's entertainment is equally as good. The food excellent plenty of it and all edible (which makes a change) The hotel is spotless and the staff are really friendly, the hotels customer services Manager is there 24/7 and always their to help. SANTA PONSA is only a taxi ride away from PALMA NOVA/ MAGALUF (8 euros) well worth a visit. We hired a car for 3 days before we went (cost £51.00 off the net), it would of been £130.00 if we had booked it out there. We will definately go there again.

09 Jun 2008 by Sue Hartley
I've read several reviews about the hotel having lots of mosquitos. I'm due to go there is September and wondered if there is a 'mosquito season' or are they there all the time? Thanks, Sue.
