We were concerned on booking this hotel about all the adverse postings on the web.It caters for a large number of people most of which are Spanish,Dutch or German.We were pleasantly suprised on how well they coped.
The efficient and hard working staff were a bonus.
The rooms were basic but clean.They lack separate wall switches for the wall lights and the furnishings were pretty spartan.The smallness of the room gave rise to noise intrusion from every point although we requested a quiet location.There are no quiet locations in this hotel ! The beds are basic as are the coverings but they are clean.Lifts are small hence lots of waiting.
The real crunch is the food.We ate well on full board but the quality varied and breakfasts were poorly presented.There is no excuse for stale bread rolls.In summary the food is average (my nearest comparison is Hospital Food)I saw no one complaining and there was always something for us to eat.Be aware they have cornered the world lime jelly mountain which appeared 6 days running and the drinks service is mediocre.If you looking for British grub you are going to be fairly disappointed but if you flexible then you will be OK.
This not a quiet hotel ,but a very good base for malgat & santa susanna resorts.
Entertainment each evening is provided but the lack of foyer seating is not good and drinks are pricey.
In summary,
Value for money ,middle of the road hotel which could do better in some areas

Reymar: A clean basic hotel! by Tracey Kinchen-Goldsmith

The Reymar is a clean basic hotel. Rooms were cleaned most days. Most staff were helpful. We travelled with five children & they were very good putting us in adjascent rooms.

Food, in our opinion was . . . dreadful! but in all fairness probably no worse than any other 3* hotel. My main problem was as soon as you reached reception all you could smell was fish & even the potato salad contained left over fish.

Pool area was lovely & waiters often come round asking if they can get you anything.

The brits were definitely in the minority when we stayed there. There was alot of Spanish, German's & a few Belgians (whom were lovely). I think we would consider going back there as from past experience we know there is alot worse out there.

Evening entertainment was ... OK. Little train stops right outside hotel as does the bus.So great for getting about with young children. If you make up your mind that you are going to have a really good holiday you can easily have it at this hotel!
