Royal Star: cheap as chips by Lisa Oxley |
| Posted 19 April 2007 about a visit in April 2007 | Overall rating: 10.0 |
We booked this hotel on Thursday the 12th April and flew the next day.. We were a little apprehensive after reading a few reviews about this hotel.. But those people who say food was bad must of expected fish and chips every night and this isn't the case at the Royal Star.. The choice of food was excellent, wide variety, excellent friendly service.
This is most definatley a place i would return to as our 6yr old son also enjoyed it he made friends with the staff and the kids club was fantastic.
The rooms were cleaned to the highest of standards every day, probably one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in i would rate this as a 5* as i have stayed in 5* hotels that don't meet the standards of the Royal Star. A++++ hotel

Royal Star: xmas 2005 by J Arn |
| Posted 24 July 2006 about a visit in December 2005 | Overall rating: 9.0 |
We had a great time here over Xmas and New Year 2005. Traveled with FERRIS coaches for a cost of just under £400 each. Same holiday if we had flown would have been £1000 each.
Hotel is for families, so can be noisey. Father Christmas calls on xmas day with pressys for the children. We get little present left in room, and free bottles of wine and fruit.
Weather could have been a tad warmer, but even Tenerife was cold last xmas.
Entertainment was fine. Staff were friendly and helpfull.
This hotel belongs to the "TOP" group, and if you go in the summer you can eat out in any of their hotels. Just book at reception the day before.
Also Cheap trips to the Palace night club, and medieval night.
Adult pool to get away from it all.
Food good. Call in the Piccadilly for a change sometime or watch sport. 3 course meal for about £6.

I stayed at this hotel in march 2003 all though it is classed as a 4 * it would be hard pressed to get a 2 * rating the hotel was all inclusive but the food was terrible the same food was served every day just under a different name ie veal / veal in bread crumbs if you like veal this is the place to go also the breakfast was not much better boiled eggs every day and greasy bacon and if you only wanted fruit that was nearly allways on its last legs ie brown and over ripe the hotel staff appeared a bit sullen at times but you have to remember that while we are on holiday they are still at work all in all i would not recommend this hotel but the resort is very nice and clean

Royal Star: entertainment |

i am taking my mother with me with my 2 kid 12 yrs old,is it suitable for them, >> Answer this question | | | | >> | Answer 1 by J Arn (28 Jun)
Depends on what you like from a holiday. The hotel shoild be very busy in summer. There's entertainment every night and its a short stroll away from the center of Llorett.
Should be plenty of games going on for the 12 year olds through the day. the best thing is everythings free.
Hope you enjoy. Maybe you could give a review when you get home.
