S'Illot Travel Guide: PLAYA, MOREYA, S'ILLOT

Written by Valerie Thompson on 12 Oct 2007 about a trip in Sep 2007.
Trip was for a couple on holiday. Valerie Thompson would definitely visit again.

S'Illot shopping

10.0
Barter at the markets throughout majorca. I just paid the reasonable prices in the shops. Lots of gift type shops for jewellry, leather, clothese etc. I bought a seiko watch in one of the jewellers - saved about 20% on prices here but the euro has made things more expensive.

S'Illot nightlife

7.0
We felt really safe and relaxed at night. Being an older couple we would go out for a meal and drink, have a walk along to Sa Coma, calling in at other hotels and bars for a drink and enjoying the many activities in the square at Sa Coma - indian music and the sale of cd's and mustical instruments, artists, stalls selling costume jewellery etc and all the shops being open until late at night.

S'Illot restaurants

10.0
Bar Anitc was our favourite in S'illot. We ate there most nights and through the day as well. The staff are friendly, food delicious and it is spotlessly clean and very reasonably priced. When we were in Sa Coma we ate at The Atlantic on the dual carriageway. The restaurants are owned by the same people and I would highly reccommend a visit - Lamb Mallorcan style is delicious as is Hawian Chicken and many more. The Bar Antic is over the bridge heading towards Sa Coma- look for the yellow sign. You can sit and have a good cup of Tetley tea or English Breakfast sitting at a table outside looking over the beautiful coast.

S'Illot attractions

7.0
The beach, which has lovely golden sand and beautiful blue sea is just accross the road, which is a cul de sac so not very busy. You do get a few vehicles going around the roundabout but not many. We spent a lot of time in the sea and sunbathing on the beach. The beach is cleaned each morning - seaweed removed etc and it has the necessary life guards and flags flying to let you know how clam the sea is.

Getting to S'Illot

9.0
We flew from Newcastle to Palma and got a taxi to S'illot which cost £60 but the Playa Moreya would organise that for you if you rang them they will organisde flight and transfer etc. at a much cheaper rate. We always stay at the Playa Moreya in S'illot, which overlooks the beautiful coast and is a friendly and clean place to stay.

Playa Moreia review
BEST PLACE TO GO FOR A RELAXING HOLIDAY IN THE SUN
Love the Playa Moreya. We have been now 6 times over the last 10years. The hotel overlooks the beautiful beach with deep blue sea. We always opt for a balcony overlooking the sea but you can also...
