Salou nightlife

10.0
There were a couple of good bars offering entertainment, The Rovers Return, Champions, The Titanic. We frequented Shenanagins as a local bar, this offered more low key entertainment but had a very friendly atmosphere. The most enjoyable bar was Danny Boys but you have to be there early to have any chance of getting a seat the entertainment was excellent but the bar prices are a bit more expensive than the others.

Salou restaurants

We enjoyed eating out in The Old Brown Cow, The Titanic and The Fox and Hound all very reasonably priced.

Salou day trips

If your looking to take the trip to Barcelona Nou Camp Stadium/Magic Fountains before you book with your Rep check the prices with the local bus company Plana, they have a Kiosk down by the beach opposite MacDonalds, they offered the trip for 24 euros an adult and 21.95 euros per child, I personally did not enjoy Barcelona City but I did enjoy the tour of the Nou Camp.

The Portaventura was brilliant for the whole family, the most enjoyable thing there was the Temple of Fuego this is a fire show which is amazing. The 14 day pass is a brilliant option as you have the freedom to go as you please. Don't miss the spectacular fireworks at night they are brilliant.

The Aqua parks were good but the best for younger childer is the Costa caribe, the only good thing about the Aquapolis was the Dolphin Show.

Salou History and Culture

I have just returned from a two week holiday in Salou staying at the Dorada palace (see review), we all enjoyed this resort although it is quite a large resort and pubs/restaurants can be quite far apart, if you are prepared to do some walking you will find some excellent pubs. When you first arrive see if you can obtain a copy of the Salou Scene Magazine this can be picked up in quite a few bars, it gives you information on most bars/restaurants and also has a location map.
