| Salou is a much bigger place than I thought and quite spread out, so expect to do quite a lot of walking!
The town itself doesnt have many upmarket stores, all seem to consentrate on the tacky tourist trade.
It is a clean enough place and the beaches are excellent though at the time of year we went, they were very crowded. You are better off on Cappellans beach, although much smaller than Lavente it is a lot less crowded. Its a bit of a walk (over a hill) but worth the effort.
Night life is (for the young) is concentrated at the north end of town, much more relaxed down by the port.
The town has excellent transport links via bus or train for Barcellona and surrounding towns.
One word of warning, dont waste your money going to the water/dolphin park, the queues are horrendous. |
