| Salou Review: Yeah & No! | | Written by .:H:. on 06 Jul 2005 about a trip in May 2005.
| I'm not long back from a two wee break in Salou with my Boyfriend. Both of us felt that we weren't too impressed with Salou. Our hotel (Las Vegas) was very good and worth every penny, but the resort itself wasn't up to much.
The first week was pretty quiet, not many British, but the second week became alot busier. The beach was good but was pretty busy, and dirty in some places. We found a half cut can stuck in the sand (very sharp).
One great dissapointment was the lack of places to eat out, well unless you really wanted a burger. Although we were half board we wanted to go out for tea some nights but only managed maybe 3/4 resturants that didnt just sell fast food. The shops were nice and not too expensive but were all selling most of the same stuff.
Highlight of the holiday had to be firstly the theme park Port Aventura. It was well worth the money. We bought a 14day ticket before we left here, which also had 1 admission to the water park. The rides were great for all ages and kept us happy quite a few days. Another highlight was the bonavista market this was great if you wanted cheap pressies. Lastly the best pub we found was Idols. There drink deals were amazing and the atmophere was great too.
All in all we probably wouldnt return here(Unless a great holiday deal apears) but everybody has their own opinion and hope mines helps you all. |
