HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM 2 WEEKS AT THE HOTEL SAN MIGUEL AND ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK GOODNESS. IT IS THE WORST ALL-INCLUSIVE I HAVE BEEN TO. I KNEW THE RESORT WAS QUIET BUT IT'S MORE LIKE A GHOST TOWN ONCE THE BEACH HAS EMPTIED. THE FOOD IN THE HOTEL IS DREADFUL - NOT COOKED PROPERLY AND VERY VERY REPETITIVE. IF THIS IS WHAT THOMSON CALL A "SUPER-ENTERTAINMENT" HOTEL I DREAD TO THINK WHAT THEY CALL AVERAGE - IT WAS POOR ESPECIALLY THE SKETCH SHOW! AS FOR THE DAYTIME ACTIVITIES THEY WERE OK IF YOU LIKE SPORT IF NOT TOUGH LUCK AND YOU HAD TO BE EINSTEIN TO ANSWER SOME OF THE QUESTIONS IN THE "FAMILY" QUIZ. BEWARE OF THE LIFTS YOU GO ON A MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR EVERY TIME YOU GET IN!! I HAVE READ NUMEROUS REPORTS ON THIS HOTEL BY PREVIOUS GUESTS AND THEY ALL RAVED ABOUT IT BUT I WAS MOST DISAPPOINTED. YOU MIGHT THINK I'M A REAL WHINGER BUT OTHER GUESTS WERE COMPLAINING TOO INCLUDING THOSE WHO HAD BEEN BEFORE AND TOLD ME THAT IT HAD GONE DOWNHILL THIS YEAR.

I stayed at the San Miguel hotel from 13th May to 27th May this year. I found the cleaniness of the hotel lacking,no clean linen for the whole fortnight, the food is basic and not very warm. The Thompsons reps extemely lacking local knowledge and unhelpful. The plus side to this holiday is two great pools and a very nice beach,plenty on space and sunbeds this time of year.
