Schlossle comes with a big reputation for quality and style, which it fully justifies. It is well located in the old town just 200 metres from the main square but on a quiet peaceful street. The hotel's lobby area is divided into a series of rooms, each with comfortable sofas, coffee tables, and providing good privacy.
Internally decorated to a high standard, including classic wooden beams, stone walls, and a roaring open fire in the main reception area. Perfect to retire to for a coffee/tea or a late evening drink. Rooms are spacious for Tallinn, with good size bathroom and heated floor. Breakfast is served downstairs in a cave-like series of rooms, which adds to the Tallinn experience. Food choice is excellent with cold buffet, champagne available, and hot breakfast prepared according to your choice. Staff were warm and friendly, which is not something common to all members of Tallinn's service industries, and free chocs and water left in room daily.
Schlossle is not a cheap option but is facing increasing competition in the 5 star market from "Three Sisters" and newly opened "telegraf". It offered a substantially better priced deal for comparable quality. Highly recommended.
