| Sharm el Sheikh Review: We had a fabulous time in the Naama Bay area. | | Written by Yorkshire Rovers on 20 Dec 2005 about a trip in May 2004.
| We had a fabulous time in the Naama Bay area. The weather was glorious. Not a cloud in the sky for the whole fortnight. The sea was refreshingly cool at first dip then lovely & warm as you became acclimatised. The children selling trinkets were a nuisance & the shop sellers all vying for you to see their shops were annoying. Beware as they all have uncles, cousins, fathers etc selling different wares & after looking in 1 shop they want you to also visit their relatives shop also. They are very friendly & hospitable most shops offer you a tea (very sweet).
We had a very relaxed holiday & would go again.
We would not recommend the coloured Canyon trip however, its extremely arduous, involving rock scrambling & in places climbing through tight spaces & a long trek in the sun. The pyramids of Giza well worth the long trip & the bedouin supper was good as included a camel ride. |
