| Sharm el Sheikh Travel Guide: naama Bay Sharm El Sheikh - gr8 weather, warm friendly people!
| | Written by Karen Campbell on 14 Dec 2007 about a trip in Dec 2007. Trip was for a couple on holiday. Karen Campbell would definitely visit again.
| Sharm el Sheikh shopping | | | Shopping is good if you enjoy bartering which I did! |
Sharm el Sheikh nightlife | | | My friend and I enjoyed our time while out at night in Naama Bay. We did not encounter pick pockets or anything like that. There were loads of places to go to eg Camel Bar which has awesum views across the town as it has a large open terrace on top - the views provided a wonderful back drop to a lovely evening out with friends. |
Sharm el Sheikh restaurants | | | The restaurants are very good - try steak and chips or seafood - wonderful!!! |
Sharm el Sheikh attractions | | | Beaches are very good and the best thing for me was the abundance of little coloured fish which swam close by as I spent time in the sea. |
Sharm el Sheikh events | | | The weren't any major events during my stay. |
Getting to Sharm el Sheikh | | | Sharm is easy to get to as the airport is close by. Flight times from the UK is approx 5 hrs. |
Getting around Sharm el Sheikh | | As with shopping, be prepared to bargain with the taxi drivers for a reasonable fare. Short taxi rides should not cost more than 15 Egyptian pounds . |
When to visit Sharm el Sheikh | | Sharm is lovely in december as the weather is extremely pleasant with less risk of getting sunburned. Having said that you will still need to use sun cream as the temperature is usually around 25c - not bad for december right??! Apparently it can reach 40c in May (or more) so you have been warned ! |
