| | The waterfront area beyond the Fortina Hotel, is a building site at present. There was a small amount of noise during the day from construction of a very large building next to the Fortina, but it was not a problem. There was more noise from the finishing work on the new Fortina tower block. Parking outside the Fortina was a nightmare during the day time, which might be a problem for those wishing to hire a car. We stuck to walking along the waterfront during the day and evening. There are lots of boat trips from the harbour and the Valleta harbour cruise provided as part of our package was very pleasant and well worthwhile. There are plenty of shops within easy reach of the hotel Fortina and the Maltese buses stop along the waterfront in the town centre, for those wishing to explore the island. |
