Sol Guadalupe: 5 Scots Girls in the Guadelupe! by Alli Phillip |

The hotel Sol Guadalupe was a fantastic hotel to stay! As with most Sol hotels the food was great and generally everything was at a high standard. Staff friendly and helpful with maids cleaning all the time!! The only thing was the pool area was perhaps a bit small but the beach is not even 5 mins away so if you slept in you could just go down to the beach. Just like the other comments i think this is a hotel for all types, young groups like ourselves but still with families etc because it was well run!
Generally Magaluf is a fab holiday - not for the faint hearted but still a great laugh! Couldnt believe how cheap it was aswell! When we went it was around Euro 2004 and we were there the night England got put out so we were keepin a low profile but the police were everywhere and there was no fighting, everyone still in good spirits!

Sol Guadalupe: Sol Guadalupe stayed for 2 weeks by Jeanie |

We've visited magaluf/palmanova a few times now.
This is the best hotel we've stayed in, I back up most things that have been written. One thing i noticed was it was so accessable to wheelchairs and the disabled. The hotel caters for every one,the rooms were lovely and clean, we had a room on the 8th floor we had a lovely view and 4 lifts which never broke down once not to my knowlege in the 2 weeks we were there.Food good.Staff very friendly and the service was excelent.
There was entertainment on every night..didn't bother much went out all the time...but very good for familys.
Quite a lot of stag and hen partys staying for weekends when we were there, can be off putting very very noisy but no trouble, they hung round the pool a lot drinking.
So we went to the beach!which is lovely and close by as is all entertainment
We could not fault this hotel it has very high standards for a 3* we will deffinetly be going back for another visit.
Jeanie.

I was in the Guadalupe on three seperate occasions starting on or about 2001 till 2003 and I must say that it is one of the friendliest hotels I have had the pleasure to stay in. The food breakfast /dinner/evening meals are always first class and the staff go out of their way to be helpfull and cheerfull. The rooms are a bit on the small side but so what the room is just to sleep in but they are always spotless and the linen is changed every day There is a t.v and fridge if required. the bar on the ground floor is o.k but it is more to the continental guests than the u.k But to go for a night out from the hotel it is just a hop skip and a jump to the action. Plenty to see and do.The hotel has three swiming pools and one indoor heated also there is the beach plus the shops for the ladies .

Sol Guadalupe: Sol Guadalupe by Wilson Mcmillan |

Have just spent five days in this Hotel after taking advantage of a very good deal through Flyglobespan (31 May to 4 June 2004) I notice that this forum has it listed as a 2 star but I can assure you it is definately a 3 star Hotel, and a very good one at that. It's set in a good bit of Magaluf i.e. not in the busiest area ! I would agree with the other post which says the rooms are on the small side but they are very clean with modern furniture (free TV and a fridge you can hire). The food was good and yes there were lots of Spaniards but hey .. if you go to Glasgow the Hotels are full of Scots. For me it wasn't a problem. Good sized pool with a large kiddies pool too. Had a seperate area on an upper level for sunbathing only. I have to say that the reception staff were some of the most helpful and friendliest I have come across.
