Back in the cold now but with a good tan. We loved the back streets in Sorrento with all the small shops, some 3 paces from one side to the other. Quite a few touristy shops but some decent ones amongst them. It is quite easy to get around in the surrounding area either by train, bus or boat and we found that the best way of getting timetables was the Foreigners club tourist information desk. The walk, or should I say 100 odd steps down to the harbour is not too bad, but coming up is another story (if you are not as fit as you thought you were), but worth the effort. Must comment on the Italian way of driving cars & scooters. A sight to be believed! So take care, and if in doubt, stay on one side of the road!
