Actually this has not been the Crown Plaza for about three years, but is now part of the Southern Sun group who previously managed it for Crowne Plaza.
This hotel has nicely furnished rooms, the best regular hotel buffet I have come across anywhere, and charming staff. It is also located very conveniently for anyone wanting to be in the Sandton area. The only negatives are the lack of internet in the rooms, though wireless internet is available in the public areas albeit through a third party with billing online rather than part of the hotel bill as is more common elsewhere in the world. Also rather aging air conditioning units in the rooms which are noisy and unable to control the room temperature. Make sure you get a room on the shady side in the summer!
