We have just returned fron 2 weeks in Stelios Stalis. Lovely clean apt, large rooms, we had a seperate balcony for the lounge diner and the bedroom. Towels were changed every other day, maybe it was a oversight, but the sheets were only changed once. There was not a plug for the washbasin and even though we reported this, nothing was done about it, we finished up using a bottle top as a plug, minor detail.
The staff are really nice and friendly though. We only ate once in the restaurant, the food was good, but far too much for us. The pool area is clean and spacious with plenty of sun loungers.
If you want to eat out, try Marias Golden beach restaurant, we ate there 4 times and it is excellent, just makes you jump every so often when they throw a plate on the floor. Stalis is full of eating places, we had a bad experience at one called Caralis, my partner had cod and it was not cooked through, when we complained, the English woman Mary was not not very helpfull, when I said I enjoyed my Pasta, she said "one out of two isnt bad I suppose". Did not deduct anything from the bill either. Our only bad experience. It was never very busy all the fortnight.
Beach is lovely as is the sea, pretty safe for children. Some work going on along the seafront road on the way into the centre, but should be finished soon.
We used the sunbeds in front of De Overloop bar, 3 Euros instead of 4. Owner is very friendly, bought us a drink on the last night.
