Sunrise Holidays Resort: great time!!! by Olga Spirina |
| Posted 31 October 2007 about a visit in December 2006 | Overall rating: 9.9 |
This is very nice hotel. It's located in good place near the ceneter but there is not noisy. The stuff is very friendly, everyone of them are ready to help you if you need. There is very wondeful sea view from a balcony. My room was cleaned every day. There is a good animation team who don't permit you to be bored. I could give you an advice to come there and feel it yourself. Aspecially if your young and active!

Sunrise Holidays Resort: A1 Hotel!!!! by Jonathan Ford |
| Posted 03 April 2006 about a visit in March 2006 | Overall rating: 9.9 |
this hotel is fantastic!!!
Hurgharda is not as well know/commercial as Sharm Els Sheikh and as a result, is not as picturesque. However, this hotel certainly makes up for it.
We went all inclusive (which you can actually upgrade to at reception should you have booked half board, self catering etc...this is v cheap to do!)
The hotel had everything we needed. We only had to venture out of the hotel once (and that was for an excursion).
The hotel is massive - honestly, its huge (we got lost a fair few times, but you soon find where u are) The staff really couldnt do enough for you - I know its a cliche, but they were fantastic. They kept topping your drinks up, told you the history of the hotel/hurghada/egypt. They work really hard but never moan or stop smiling. They get to know you and they remember your name everytime you go past.
The beach area is great - its a private beach on a cove-style. Its v hard to describe but you walk out of the hotel actually onto the beach and there is a crossing that goes over the sea where all the sunbeds are - its a fantastic layout. There are plenty of sunbeds so you will always get one and you get towels to lie on too. The entertainment is V good. Everyday there is boules, volleyball, aerobics and waterpolo. There is music playing and its a lovely atmosphere.
The food is great - its a buffet-style but its always different and there is loads to choose from. Its up to an excellent standard and tasted great! There are restaurants and an a'la carte (you get tokens to go to the a'la carte twice per week and the food and service there is fantastic!
The hotel was recently refurbished (2004) so all the rooms and lovely and clean and spacious. Most rooms have a sea view and its great 1st thing in the morning and last thing at night - nice view. The TV has about 5 english chanels - one of which is 24hr movies - nice to come back to after sunbathing.
There are shops inside the hotel ranging from camera accessories to all the souveniers you need.
They have contracted out to companies for excursions/wind-surfing etc. These are locatede in the hotel on the beach and are V trust-worthy (we went quad biking with them instead of Thomas Cook - half the price, twice as long and it really was an excellent trip)
I dont know what more to say - but I promise you that if you go to this hotel, you really will have a fantastic time. It does have everything you need, and
more. Enjoy.

do we need to bring our own towels? >> Answer this question | | | | >> | Answer 1 by Karen Lenton (25 Mar)
Clean towels are available for the pool or sunbeds on a daily basis, so no worries about getting own towels wet. Also towels changed daily in rooms, so no real need to take your own. Enjoy!! We did!!
