We've stayed at TT annually since 2000, sometimes twice a year. We've always found the rooms clean although often something missing from the equipment. The reception and security are very helpful replacing missing items even in the middle of the night. Twice we have arrived and found our room has been upgraded and once when we asked to change rooms it was accomplished quickly and efficiently the following morning without recourse to the travel rep.

We've never used the hotel restaurants as there a plenty of good eateries in the immediate vicinity - generally cheaper! We've also been at the hotel during ongoing refurbishment. You win or lose depending on the time of year! May 2005 they were refurbishing the pool area and bar. Pool Bar was closed and noise from workmen was earlier than most people would appreciate. By October it was finished and truly delightful. The work has to done and some people will hit unlucky. Sometimes cockroaches have been a small problem (we bought the spray from the supermarket). Other years we've not seen more than 1 in 10 days. The sewerage is to typical continental standards i.e NOT UK standard. Sometimes it smells!! When we lived in Germany this was normal!!

There is no entertainment for children in this area at all so we wouldn't recommend families going unless the pool will suit your needs. There's also no nightclubs nearby. The location suits independent couples families or groups who enjoy getting out and entertaining themselves. There can be noise from other hotel users. That will happen anywhere and it's up to others to be considerate.

Car parking can be a problem but the building work mentioned in an earlier review will include off street parking for that private apartment block and the commercial centre being built includes some car parking. We have never failed to park close to the hotel in 7 visits and we pick up our car when we arrive at the airport so parking is an every day occurence.

Go, be independent and enjoy what the island has to offer. The walking on the island is superb.

We stayed in the TT apts twice - once in June 2000 which was brilliant as the apts had just had been refurbished and were lovely. We were there in June 2002 and the place had definitely gone to seed as repairs and redecoration had not been kept up to scratch. Be warned if you intend hiring a car that it is nigh on impossible to get your car parked there. Last time we were there we had great difficulty in getting parked after a day out. We have just come back from the area (we stayed in an apt in Crab Island - about 400 yards away through the foot path for 2 weeks in November 2004) and tried a couple of times to get parked to go to the supermarket and eventually gave up and walked. As they are building a huge apt block across the road the situation can only get worse. However, we spoke to a few people from TT and they seemed to be quite happy with the accommodation though NOT the entertainment!!

This was the first time we visited Tenerife and found that the hotel offered good accomadation and good food (we went half board). We were in the new section so the apartment was spot on for us, although I did hear a few moans about the old part of the hotel. Not a place for anybody who has difficulty with walking as there are a lot of steep climbs in the area. Entertainment in the hotel was a bit hit and miss but overall we enjoyed what was on offer.
