Torres de Yomely: Great Location though watch your valuables by Bobalina |
| Posted 03 July 2005 about a visit in May 2005 | |
We stayed in the torres de yomely apartments in June 05, after getting a good deal through a private travel agent.
The first thing we noticed about the apartments was the fantastic location. It is a 2 min walk from the Veronica's strip, therefore even closer to the main bars. As there were 3 single girls (21 and 22), this is ideal for partying and most nights (quite literally) crawling up the road!
Could be more of a problem if there is younger children, or those looking for a quieter holiday, as can hear about 6 different pubs music. At 3 o'clock there is an increase in noise when the pubs close, and again around 5/6 when the clubs close.
The apartments were clean, with the maids in every day, except a Sunday, to clean and change the sheets. You canot rent appliances from the reception. There is a 4 hob cooker, with kettle, they even supply some matches to light it! There is no toaster though which i did find anoying!
The pool area is large enough, with a good sized adult pool (although goes to over 2 metres, which i found a problem as i'm not confident swimming out of my depth). There is a baby pool as well, which is kept seperate from the main pool area. The loungers are charged for at €1 a day.
The only problem i had with my stay at these apartments, was that my mobile phone, always kept in the apartment, went missing, along with my friend's €50 note from her purse. We learned pretty quickly to keep everything locked in our case when we were out of the apartments. Which brings me to the fact that the apartments offered a safety deposit box, but it was only at reception, with restrictions to what time the box could be accessed. So although it was used for our travel documents/insurance and some money, it was no good for some money, phones, jewellery etc.
Would still recommend the apartments though as a basic place to stay if just looking to party!
